WELCOME BOOK LOVERS!
On this website, you will
find an illustrated catalog of selected books and CDs related to
Harry's music interests, all with direct links to Amazon.
But these items are just part of the Brabec Collection now available on
Amazon. See my Amazon Marketplace Catalog for a complete list
and bookmark that page since new books will continue to be added until I've
worked through the whole collection. - BARBARA

In a letter to a music buddy in 1999, Harry wrote: "I’m an avid reader, and I just keep buying books and never find the
time to read all of them. I swear I will get to the book you sent me next

our front lawn telling people that this is the Brabec and Brabec bookstore.
The house seems to be bursting at the seams with books and magazines we
haven't read yet."

sought-after books in all of the musical and entertainment
categories. He also had a passionate interest in the circus and

But on the other . . .

Harry Brabec was a legendary symphonic musician and
show drummer greatly admired by his peers. In 2010, Barbara published
The
Drummer Drives! Everybody Else Rides, a memoir about her life with Harry. During his
lifelong musical
career, he worked with countless entertainers, bands and orchestras,
including the National Symphony in Washington, D.C., the Chicago Symphony
Orchestra, the Lyric Opera, Ballet, the Shubert Theatre in Chicago, the NBC
Symphony of Chicago and, in his earlier years, the jazz bands of Wayne King
and Chuck Foster.
